Kirkenes, Dresden and Malta has one thing in common; the town was bombed and destroyed during WW2. Kirkenes had more then 300 air attacks and more then 1000 alarms, because Kirkenes was one of Europes most strategic points.
Visit Andersgrotta -the bombshelter- a huge cave in the mountain in the very centre of Kirkenes. A guided tour and a 9 min video showing why and how this bombing affected the civilians in Kirkenes. What ever political opinion or nationality -civillians should never be a target for bombs. Andersgrotta is also a contemporary installation.
The video is in English, German and Norwegian.
